Description:
* WHAT...Very steep and hazardous seas 14 to 18 feet.
* WHERE...Marianas Coastal Waters.
* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
damage to vessels.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Typhoon Bavi continues to move west-
northwest and away from the Marianas, conditions will gradually
improve in the coming days. For small craft operations,
dangerous marine conditions still persist through at least
Wednesday night.
Instruction:
A hazardous seas warning means hazardous sea conditions are
imminent or occurring. Recreational boaters should remain in
port...or take shelter until waves subside. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port or
taking shelter in port until hazardous seas subside.
