...TYPHOON WARNING IS CANCELLED...
...HAZARDOUS SEAS WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CHST THURSDAY...
* WHAT...South to southwest wind 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 45 kt
and very steep and hazardous seas of 16 to 20 feet will
gradually decrease the next few days.
* WHERE...Marianas Coastal Waters.
* WHEN...Until 5 AM ChST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
damage to vessels.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As Super Typhoon Bavi continues to move
west-northwest and away from the Marianas, conditions will
gradually improve in the coming days. For small craft
operations, dangerous marine conditions still persist through
Wednesday night.
Instruction:
A hazardous seas warning means hazardous sea conditions are
imminent or occurring. Recreational boaters should remain in
port...or take shelter until waves subside. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port or
taking shelter in port until hazardous seas subside.
