* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Missouri, including the following counties, in southwest Missouri, Cedar. In west central Missouri, St. Clair. * WHEN...Until 730 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 126 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Little Clear Creek at Oz Road and Brush Creek at 1200 Road. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... El Dorado Springs, Cedar Springs, Caplinger Mills, Tiffin and Arnica. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
