Description: 
At 536 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Ripley, moving northwest at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... New Albany, Holly Springs, Bolivar, Ripley, Big Hill Pond State Park, Blue Mountain, Jumpertown, Snow Lake Shores, Keownville, Theo, Canaan, Pocahontas, Gravestown, Walnut, Middleton, Hickory Flat, Ashland, Potts Camp, Falkner, and Myrtle. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 32 and 64.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northeastern and northwestern Mississippi.
