Description:
Heavy rains have likely caused many small streams to flood.
Low-lying and poor drainage areas were also flooded causing road
closures and evacuations in the warned area. Water may be slow to
recede. Additional rain over the next 12-24 hours may prolong the
high water and flooding.
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Mississippi, including the
following county, Covington.
* WHEN...Until noon CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 533 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the
warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 7 and 11
inches of rain fell overnight.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
