increased in duration for the following rivers in Mississippi...
Jourdan River Near Kiln/Bay St. Louis affecting Hancock County.
For the Jourdan River...including Kiln/Bay St. Louis...Moderate
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Jourdan River near Kiln/Bay St. Louis.
* WHEN...From this evening to late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Homes along the river on the south bank
will flood. Water will be over the road near the bridge approach.
Backwater flooding will threaten property east of Highway 43.
Access to the river will be restricted. At 8.0 feet, The Jourdan
River Steamer restaurant will flood. Drainage ditches along
Mississippi Highway 43 will be running full and near the shoulder
of the road at the bridge approach. Water will cover most of the
Jourdan River Steamer property and residential property on the
south bank.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 4.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
evening to a crest of 9.0 feet Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.5
feet on 08/31/2021.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
