Description:
At 622 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Pittsboro, or 14 miles west of Houston, moving north at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Bruce, Calhoun City, Vardaman, Derma, Pittsboro, Pyland, Big Creek,
Thorn, Bounds, Reid, Loyd, Tabbville, Shepherd, and Skuna.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
