Description: 
At 255 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Keownville, or 7 miles northeast of New Albany, moving northwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... New Albany, Baldwyn, Blue Mountain, Jumpertown, Keownville, Myrtle, Dumas, Cotton Plant, Shari, Union Hill, Graham, Jericho, Concord, Pumpkin Center, Molino, Clarysville, Baker, Geeville, Locum, and Parks. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 57 and 64.
Instruction: 
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
