Description: 
At 150 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Ecru, or near New Albany, moving north at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Tupelo, New Albany, Pontotoc, Ecru, Keownville, New Harmony, Sherman, Blue Springs, Shari, Hortontown, Poolville, Endville, Cherry Creek, Branyan, Ellistown, Old Myrtle, Pumpkin Center, Jug Fork, Baker, and Smalco. This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 58 and 82.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
