Description:
At 1242 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Troy, or 8 miles southwest of Verona, moving northwest at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Tupelo, Pontotoc, Verona, Okolona, Trace State Park, Shannon, Troy,
Furrs, Algoma, Belden, Chiwapa, Palmetto, Bissell, Chesterville,
Leotis, Rough Edge, Old Union, and George P Cossar State Park.
This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 81
and 84.
