Description:
At 459 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Corinth to near Hinkle to near Blair.
Movement was west at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Corinth, Booneville, New Albany, Ripley, Baldwyn, Saltillo, Guntown,
Jumpertown, Glen, Thrashers, Keownville, Theo, Pratts Friendship,
Hinkle, Wheeler, Leedy, Blair, Farmington, Walnut, and Falkner.
This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 65
and 69.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
northeastern Mississippi.
