Description:
* WHAT...For the Dense Smoke Advisory, dense smoke will reduce
visibility to less than one nautical mile. For the Small Craft
Advisory, southwest winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt
and waves 1 to 3 ft expected.
* WHERE...Saxon Harbor WI to Black River MI.
* WHEN...For the Dense Smoke Advisory, until 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/
this morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 8 AM EDT /7
AM CDT/ this morning to 11 PM EDT /10 PM CDT/ this evening.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.
Instruction:
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.
