Description:
* WHAT...For the Dense Smoke Advisory, dense smoke will reduce
visibility to one to two nautical miles. For the Small Craft
Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25 knots with gusts up to 30
knots and waves 3 to 6 feet expected.
* WHERE...St Joseph to South Haven MI, South Haven to Holland
MI, Holland to Grand Haven MI, Grand Haven to Whitehall MI,
Whitehall to Pentwater MI and Pentwater to Manistee MI.
* WHEN...For the Dense Smoke Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this
evening. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 2 AM Saturday to 4
AM EDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Low
visibility will make navigation difficult.
Instruction:
Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.
