Description:
At 552 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southwest of
Atwater, or 12 miles southeast of Willmar, moving southeast at 30
mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Lake
Lillian and Thorpe.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and has
produced large hail.
