Description:
* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 90. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with heat index
values up to 104 expected.
* WHERE...Morrison, Todd, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Douglas Counties.
* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 11 AM CDT this morning. For the
Extreme Heat Warning, until 9 PM CDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat-related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Instruction:
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
