Description:
At 121 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near K. I. Sawyer Airport
to near Gwinn to 8 miles north of Watson. Movement was east at 30
mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Watson, Rapid River, Chatham, Trenary, K. I. Sawyer Airport, Rock,
Gwinn, U.S. 41 between Trenary and Rapid River, Sands, Skandia, The
553 and 480 Crossroads, Little Lake, Kiva, Diffin, Maplewood,
Anderson Lake, Lathrop, Traunik, Laughing Whitefish Falls, and St.
Nicholas.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
