At 456 PM EDT/356 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles northwest of Porcupine Mountains State Park to 16 miles north of Wakefield to 10 miles northwest of Bessemer. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Porcupine Mountains State Park, Bergland, Silver City, Northern Lake Gogebic, Clark Lake, White Pine, Copper Peak, Mirror Lake, Lake of the Clouds, Black River Harbor, and Merriweather. People attending Blasting at Copper Peak should seek safe shelter immediately!
