At 508 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of showers and embedded thunderstorms with torrential rainfall. A quick 1 to 2 inches of rain may fall across this region with 90 minutes. This will result in areas of poor drainage street flooding during the evening commute. Motorists are urged to drive with extra caution and allow extra time to reach their destinations. HAZARD...Poor drainage street flooding during the evening commute across eastern Massachusetts including the Boston metropolitan area. SOURCE...Radar indicated showers and a few embedded thunderstorms with torrential rainfall. IMPACT...Water on roads that flood easily. Locations impacted include... Boston, Cambridge, Brockton, Quincy, Lynn, Newton, Somerville, Framingham, Waltham, Malden, Brookline, Medford, Weymouth, Revere, Peabody, Arlington, Everett, Salem, Billerica, and Beverly.
