At 252 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Bridgewater to Smyrna Mills to near Mount Katahdin. Movement was southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Houlton, Patten, Hodgdon, Sherman, Island Falls, Bridgewater, Smyrna, Amity, Mount Chase, Haynesville, Sherman Station, Cary Plantation, Smyrna Mills, Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, Dudley Township, Reed Plantation, Littleton, Linneus, Monticello, and Oakfield. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between mile markers 260 and 304. US Highway 1 between Orient and Monticello. State Highway 11 between Stacyville and Patten.
