Description:
At 258 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Deblois to 15 miles east of Dedham.
Movement was east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Ellsworth, Bucksport, Machias, Cherryfield, Dedham, Jonesport,
Steuben, Harrington, Jonesboro, Columbia Falls, Columbia, Deblois,
Millbridge, Centerville, Hancock, Franklin, Holden, Eddington,
Lamoine, and Trenton.
This includes the following highways...
US Highway 1 between Ellsworth and Jonesboro.
State Highway 9 near Junction 193.
Instruction:
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
