At 541 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Veazie, or near Bangor, moving south at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Bangor, Old Town, Bucksport, Orono, Brewer, Hampden, Hermon, Veazie, Dedham, Glenburn, Orrington, Holden, Eddington, Bradley, Clifton, Otis, Mariaville, Waltham, and Amherst. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between mile markers 181 and 193. State Highway 9 between Hampden and Clifton.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
