Description: 
At 136 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Arabi, or near Chalmette, moving west at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... New Orleans, Metairie, East New Orleans, Jefferson, Harahan, Elmwood, Arabi, and Lakefront Airport. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 226 and 233, and between mile markers 237 and 247. Interstate 510 between mile markers 1 and 3. Interstate 610 between mile markers 1 and 4.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
