Description:
At 116 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
capable of producing funnel clouds and waterspouts along a line
extending from near Edgard to near Golden Meadow. Movement was east
at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and funnel clouds.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous waters. If a funnel cloud briefly touches down,
minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Reserve, Cut Off, Galliano, Hahnville, Laplace, Larose, Golden
Meadow, Killona, Norco, Paradis, Des Allemands, Montz, Edgard,
Luling, Boutte, Bayou Gauche, Destrehan, Taft, New Sarpy, and St.
Rose.
This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 209 and 219.
Interstate 310 between mile markers 3 and 11.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions
they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a
funnel cloud is spotted move indoors or to safe harbor and report
your sighting to the National Weather Service.
