Description: 
At 903 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Larto to 7 miles east of Rosepine. Movement was southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Alexandria, Pineville, De Ridder, Oakdale, Marksville, Bunkie, Rosepine, Glenmora, Moreauville, Cheneyville, Elizabeth, Turkey Creek, Singer, Sugartown, Hineston, Mittie, Bordelonville, Dry Creek, Fort Polk, and Alexandria International Airport. This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 45 and 95.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
