Description:
At 542 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Independence, or near Amite. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Amite, Amite City, Independence, and Roseland.
This includes Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 41 and
46.
