Description: 
At 810 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Greenwood, or 8 miles southwest of Shreveport, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Shreveport, Bossier City, Haughton, Greenwood, Blanchard, Stonewall, Fosters, Eastwood, Keachi, Grand Cane, Longstreet, Forbing, Robson, Keithville, Frierson, Taylortown, Kingston, Barksdale Air Force Base and Kickapoo.
Instruction: 
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
