Description:
At 233 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Covington to 7 miles east of Bush.
Movement was north at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Bogalusa, Picayune, Covington, Franklinton, Abita Springs, Varnado,
Folsom, Sun, Bush, Enon, and Crossroads.
This includes Interstate 12 between mile markers 54 and 60.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
