Description:
At 344 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Vidalia, moving northwest at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
This strong thunderstorm will be near...
Natchez, Ferriday, Ridgecrest, and Frogmore around 350 PM CDT.
Clayton around 355 PM CDT.
Wildsville around 400 PM CDT.
Harrisonburg and Wallace Ridge around 405 PM CDT.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious
injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors
during such strong winds...and be especially aware of older trees.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
northeastern Louisiana...and southwestern Mississippi.
