Description:
At 834 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms produced
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
rain fell. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional
rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is likely ongoing.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Somerset, Science Hill, Dabney, Bobtown, Woodstock, Shopville,
Valley Oak, Hogue, Ruth, Bandy, Bent, Stab, Bee Lick, Pointer,
Nancy, Pulaski, Ferguson and Eubank.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
