Description:
At 425 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Washington to near Thoroughbred Acres.
Movement was southeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Sterling, Flemingsburg, Sharpsburg, Fairview, Pecks Ridge,
Reynoldsville, Sideview, Flat Creek, Odessa, Pebble, Wallingford,
Bethel, Stoops, Foxport, Oakley, Judy, Mount Carmel, Grassy Lick,
Wades Mill, and Nepton.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 64 in eastern Kentucky between mile markers
105 and 111.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
east central Kentucky.
