Description:
At 452 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Grove, or 12 miles north of Williamsburg, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Barton, Grove, Clio, Deering, Walden, Rockholds, Woodbine, Faber,
Youngs Creek, Vox, Bark Camp, Rye, and Corbin.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile
markers 17 and 25.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
