Description:
At 359 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Peasticks to near Ramey to Gates. Movement was
east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Morehead, Salt Lick, Cranston, Ramey, Wagner, Fannin Valley, Wyoming,
Elliottville, Yale, Moore's Ferry, Triplett, Christy, Hilda, Sharkey,
Slate Valley, Cogswell, Zilpo, Pelfrey, Polksville, and Hamm.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 64 in eastern Kentucky between mile markers
126 and 149.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
