Description:
At 258 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Wiborg to Blue Heron to near Great Meadows
Campsites. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Whitley City, Blue Heron, Bon, Great Meadows Campsites, Ayers,
Marshes Siding, Duckrun, Emlyn, Parkers Lake, Beulah Heights, Co-
Operative, Zion Hill, Stearns, Jellico Creek, Pine Knot, Bounty,
Strunk, Hollyhill, Wiborg, and Winfield.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile
markers 8 and 9.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
