Description:
At 129 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Rockford to near Snider to 6 miles
southeast of Stanford. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Vernon, Boone, Morrill, Bummer, Threelinks, Hiatt, Gum Sulphur,
Kerby Knob, Roundstone, Spiro, Clover Bottom, Lake Linville, Climax,
Renfro Valley, Disputanta, Shirley, Sandgap, Snider, Johnetta, and
Conway.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile
markers 61 and 72.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
