Description:
At 211 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Locust Branch, or 9 miles southwest of Irvine, moving northeast at 10
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Irvine, Rice Station, Kings Station, Blackburn, Jinks, Winston,
Wisemantown, Brazil, Weedon, Leighton, Drip Rock, Witt, Blanton
Flats, Alumbaugh, South Irvine, Evelyn, Hisel, Wagersville, Alcorn,
and Station Camp.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
