Description:
At 538 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Paxton, or 8 miles north of Jackson, moving southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Prestonsburg, Jackson, Salyersville, Mason, Simpson, Burkhart, Lexie,
Burning Fork, Noctor, Kernie, West Royalton Station, Blue River,
Gapville, Evanston, Lane, Sewell, Haddix, Malaga, Guage, and Seiltz.
THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 55 and 76.
U.S. Highway 23 in Floyd County between mile markers 15 and 16.
