Description:
At 535 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sinks, or 7 miles southeast of Mount Vernon, moving southeast at 10
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Gauley, Camp Wildcat, Donaro, Sinks, Sand Hill, Hazel Patch, Pine
Hill, Jep Hill, Withers, Horse Lick, and Livingston.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile
markers 49 and 56.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
