Description:
At 330 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Gesling, or near Carter Caves State Park, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Grayson, Carter Caves State Park, Gesling, Greenbo Lake, Oldtown,
Carter, Hopewell, Brushart, and Warnock.
This includes Interstate 64 in Kentucky between mile markers 170 and
179.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
