Description:
At 306 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Torrent, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Campton, Fincastle, Booth, Torrent, Rogers, Lexie, Leeco, Baptist,
Pence, Hollonville, Pine Ridge, Standing Rock, Trent, Hazel Green,
Stillwater, Vortex, Wilhurst, Mary, Landsaw, and High Falls.
THIS INCLUDES Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 40
and 54.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
