Description:
At 715 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Threelinks, or 10 miles northeast of Mount Vernon,
moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Torrential rainfall and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Mount Vernon, McKee, Boone, Morrill, Bummer, Threelinks, Turkey Foot,
Hiatt, Gum Sulphur, Kerby Knob, Waneta, Bradshaw, Roundstone, Clover
Bottom, Lake Linville, Climax, Renfro Valley, Disputanta, Brazil, and
Hurley.
THIS INCLUDES Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile
markers 61 and 72.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
