Description:
At 601 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Daley, or near Hazard, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Hazard, Letcher, Bath, Vicco, Blackey, Elic, Cody, Van, Oscaloosa,
Pine Top, Viper, Daley, Carr Creek, Isom, Premium, Trailer, Redfox,
Avawam, Arminta, and Smithsboro.
THIS INCLUDES Hal Rogers Parkway between mile markers 52 and 53.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
