Description:
At 709 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Perlie to near Baptist to near Locust Branch.
Movement was southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Prestonsburg, Irvine, Jackson, Salyersville, Beattyville, McKee,
Campton, Booneville, Mason, Simpson, Fincastle, Ravenna, Turin,
Travellers Rest, Falcon, Earnestville, Noctor, West Royalton Station,
Alumbaugh, and Evelyn.
THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 41 and 76.
Kentucky Highway 80 in Floyd County near mile marker 14.
U.S. Highway 23 in Floyd County between mile markers 13 and 17.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT for southeastern,
northeastern and east central Kentucky.
