Walnut River at Augusta affecting Cowley and Butler Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Walnut River at Winfield. * WHEN...From late tonight to Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, West 14th Avenue near the fairgrounds, floods from the river on eastward to the levee. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 6.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 27.5 feet Saturday evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
