Description: 
At 228 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 4 miles south of Keene to 4 miles southwest of Harveyville to 3 miles north of Americus. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40 mph to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Osage City, Carbondale, Burlingame, Americus, Scranton, Harveyville, Reading, Allen, Admire, and Bushong. This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 135 and 164.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for east central Kansas. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for east central Kansas.
