Description:
At 100 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Whiting, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Holton, Horton, Everest, Whiting, Netawaka, Powhattan, Willis, and
Kickapoo Reservation.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
northeastern Kansas.
