Description:
At 1119 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near New Liberty to West Liberty to near Amish, moving
southeast at 55 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Iowa City, Muscatine, Tipton, West Branch, Durant, Coralville, North
Liberty, West Liberty, Williamsburg, Wilton, Kalona, Solon, Tiffin,
Wellman, Lone Tree, University Heights, Riverside, Oxford, Lowden,
and Hills.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 219 and 278.
Interstate 380 between mile markers 1 and 5.
Instruction:

sturdy building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
