...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... White River at Elliston. Eel River at Bowling Green. .Recent thunderstorms produced heavy rainfall up to two to three inches across central portions of Indiana. Minor flooding will begin soon on the Eel River at Bowling Green and crest this afternoon...with minor flooding starting on the White River at Elliston late this evening. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Eel River at Bowling Green. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 19.1 feet, Flood water covers both lanes of SR 42 just east of the Eel River. Several county roads are flooded. Persons in river cabins may move cars and possibly belongings to high ground. Poland-Bowling Green Road is impassable on the northeast outskirts of Bowling Green. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 14.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early this morning to a crest of 18.8 feet this afternoon.
