Description:
At 351 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Channahon,
moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. Two inch hail was reported in
Minooka with this storm.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Joliet, Channahon, Minooka, Wilmington, Coal City, Crest Hill,
Shorewood, Diamond, Elwood, Preston Heights, Fairmont, Rockdale,
Crystal Lawns, Carbon Hill, and Symerton.
