River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Illinois River at La Grange LD.
* WHEN...Until Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Extensive wetland acreage south of La
Grange begins flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 24.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:00 AM CDT Thursday was 25.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
Sunday morning and continue falling to 20.2 feet Thursday, July
09.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
