Description: 
At 332 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Gridley to Towanda to near McLean. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Bloomington, Normal, Lexington, Chenoa, Gridley, Colfax, Downs, Towanda, Ellsworth, Cooksville, Holder, Weston, Shirley, and Central Illinois Regional Airport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 39 between mile markers 0 and 2. Interstate 55 between mile markers 148 and 187. Interstate 74 between mile markers 128 and 147.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Lincoln. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for central Illinois.
